The 2019 Annual Report covers the neonatal outcomes of high-risk babies born in 2019, as well as a chapter on 2-3 year follow-up outcomes of extremely preterm and extremely low birthweight infants born in 2013-2016.

The data in this report suggest a small but significant improvement in the numbers of babies given antenatal corticosteroids and exogenous surfactant, as recommended by the NHMRC Clinical Practice Guidelines for Care Around Preterm Birth.
The 1995 Annual Report covers the neonatal outcomes of high-risk babies born in 1995. This is the second year of establishment of the unit and the first time all 29 NICUs in Australia and New Zealand contributed data to the Network.
This was the first report of the ANZNN and is considered a pilot year, with 22 of the 29 neonatal intensive care units in Australia and New Zealand contributing data on neonatal outcomes of high-risk babies born in 1994.
